Sir,
We partly agree with the author. In fact, we have explained our opinion in the article. At this stage, we believe that our procedure cannot replace traditional surgery and percutaneous interventional procedures; however, it could be an option for the treatment of atrial septal defect (ASD). Currently, various ASD closure procedures are available to most patients. Therefore, the selection of ASD closure procedure should be based on individual considerations such as the condition and the needs of the patient, the size of ASD, the experience of the physician and the availability of equipment in the hospital.
